Introduction
A mayor and six-member council with a Finance
Officer to oversee day-to-day operations of the
city govern the City of Winner. The mayor and council are elected by the
citizens of Winner and serve a two-year term. City elections are combined
with the Winner School District elections and are held on the second Tuesday in
April.
The city is divided into three wards.
To determine which ward you live in and the council member that represents you
click on the "city ward" link to view the boundaries of the three
wards. Your residency determines the ward that you are located in and the
council member that is your voice in city government.
The city council meets the first and third
Monday of each month at 6:30 PM in the Wells Fargo Bank Building in the basement
at 425 S. Main St. The public is welcome. If you have an agenda item or
wish to appear before the council you are asked to contact the City
Finance Officer by Friday noon prior to the council meeting.

forty-five years as a teacher, business manager, and school
administrator. I am now serving on several church boards and civic
committees. Family includes wife of 48 years, Jeriann, three sons
and their families.

I have lived in Winner almost my entire life and have been
blessed to have shared over 27 years with my wife Mary. We have two
children, a daughter Andrea and a son Jamie. I was first elected to
the City Council in 1988 and served through 1999 prior to being
re-elected in 2008.

the Winner Volunteer Fire Dept. for seventeen years. I was first elected to the City Council

by Grossenburg Implement for 17 years. I have been the manager of
the tire department for 6 years. I have been a member of the Winner Volunteer
